Mr. Natural Presents

Spring 2012

Robert and Aline have recently returned from a jaunt to India where they attended a comic convention. Their collaborative book Drawn Together was released in France earlier this year and will be released here in the States later this year by Norton.

There will be a huge retorspective exhibit of Robert's work opening on April 14 in Paris at the Musee d'Art Moderne. It will include many pieces dating from the '60s up to the full collection of the Genesis project. After Robert attends the opening, he will fly to the U.S. for his annual visit, which will begin on the West Coast.

In mid-May, he will meet up with Aline in Chicago where they will attend an academic convention with many other cartoonists. They will then travel to the East Coast where Aline will stay for a show of her work in New York, while Robert flies back to France in early June.

NEW Reflections by Crumb on the Famous and Infamous

Check out Part Three of our exclusive interview by Wildwood Serigraphs' Alex Wood. Robert reminisces and gives his opinions on Janis Joplin and other celebrites, living and dead.

And, if you haven't yet seen them, Part One and Part Two are still online.

OUR LATEST RELEASES:

Originally published in black and white on the inside cover of the Mr. Natural #2 comic book (1971), this image was released in color as a tin sign by Kitchen Sink Press in 1995. But Robert was not completely happy with the colors. For this edition he created a beautiful color rough with watercolor, which Wildwood Serigraphs translated faithfully into this 16-color edition. We made it slightly smaller than our usual prints so it could fit in most kitchens (Robert likes his images smaller anyway, but that's another story.) Each print comes with its own certificate of authenticity, which has copy written by Robert on both front and back.

Paper size: 18" x 26", Image size: 12" x 18"
Edition limited to 160 signed & numbered serigraphs.
Printed on Rives BFK 100% archival rag. Wildwood Serigraphs guarantees your complete satisfaction, or your money back.

In 1971, Crumb wrote and illustrated his Mr. Natural #2 comic book. In 2005, Crumb reworked the cover illustration and it was released as a limited serigraph edition later that year. This limited giclee edition is based upon that serigraph edition with minor changes. There are 300 prints in this hand-numbered giclee edition, printed on Somerset Velvet 255 gram enhanced paper using Epson Ultrachrome archival inks. The white paper is 17" x 24". The image size is 13" x 18-3/4".
